GTRCMC\u00a0<\/strong>Destination Jamaica Post-Melissa\u00a0<\/strong>Recovery Project\u00a0<\/strong>is a joint initiative of the Global Tourism Resilience & Crisis Management Centre (GTRCMC) and The Sir Arthur Lewis Institute for Social and Economic\u00a0Studies (SALISES), designed to help Jamaica\u2019s tourism workforce and communities bounce back stronger after Hurricane Melissa. The project will deliver 5,000 emergency care packages to affected tourism workers and families, conduct a Tourist Recovery Needs Assessment to accelerate visitor recovery, and train 1,000 workers across eight parishes with practical tools, one-page Business Continuity Plans, and a new offline Tourism Resilience App featuring interactive lessons and checklists.
