The Global Tourism Resilience and Crisis Management Centre (GTRCMC) is urging all stakeholders in the tourism sector to remain vigilant and prioritise safety as Hurricane Beryl approaches.
A release from the GTRMC stressed that the protection of life and property is paramount, and it is crucial that all necessary precautions be taken to minimise risks associated with this climatic event.
“Tourism, while inherently vulnerable to natural disasters such as hurricanes, has demonstrated remarkable resilience time and again. Our industry has the capacity to recover and rebuild, ensuring the continuation of its critical role in the global economy. However, the strength of this resilience hinges on preparedness, effective management, and robust partnerships,” the GTRMC release advises.
